About Moira

My goal as your therapist is to create an encouraging, empowering alliance in which, together, we develop new beliefs and ways of relating for you that are in line with your strengths, values and goals for your life.  I work from a primarily cognitive-behavioral approach, based on the idea that our thoughts and beliefs drive our behavior and impact our relationships with ourselves and others. This therapeutic approach includes the important developmental, historical and cultural influences unique to your life that have contributed to who you are today.
My strengths include a broad, holistic viewpoint that takes into account your many biological, psychological and social influences, and sees you as a whole person- mind, body, and spirit. Using specifically tailored interventions and an intuitive, collaborative style, I'll  bring a balance of warmth and humor along with well-developed analytical and communication skills to my therapeutic work with you.  You can expect honest, respectful feedback and an understanding, supportive environment in which to explore your concerns as we work together to reduce your symptoms and re-establish well-being and satisfying relationships.
